We're going to Temecula for our 7th annual wine tasting bus trip! Get the word out and tell your friends!
Sign ups will stop on Friday 10/11 at noon or when the last couple of spots fill up! Don't wait until the last minute!
Sign ups are now over.-->
Since most wineries can't handle over 100 people, this year we're only doing 1 bus. So, sign ups WILL fill up fast!

Sign ups begin Tuesday, Sept 17, 2013 @ Noon at http://SoapLA.com. Sign ups are first come, first serve. Your spot is not reserved until you pay. You may sign up and pay for your friends as long as they are each SOAP members and you know their email address that they used to signup with SOAP. Membership is free, and is not exclusive to members of the aerospace community (we have lots of friends, and friends of friends, who attend our events). New members can sign up on the front page of SoapLA.com.
What to bring:
If you plan on driving and parking, you have a couple options... park closer, possibly in a parking structure and pay more (Lot A & C), or park farther in a 12 hour lot for free and walk a little farther (Lot F & I). This PDF Hermosa Parking Map has all the details (although you may have to piece together the 2nd and 3rd pages - we didn't make it!).
or, you could take the bus...
The Hermosa Beach locals call it the Sharkeez Express, but officially it's the Beach Cities Transit 109 bus. It goes straight up and down the coast from Redondo Beach all the way up north to LAX. It only costs $1!!! It will drop you off right next to the pick up spot. So, if you live in Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, or El Segundo, this may be the best way to go.
Here's a link to the Bus Schedule and map.
Taxis are always lined up at the pier, so there should be no problem getting one at any time without calling. If you would like to call a cab from a hotel, or would like the number of Hermosa Taxis, please visit this website: Authorized Hermosa Beach Taxis.
Need a hotel?
The Hampton Inn and Quality Inn are probably your best value. The Sea Sprite is your best location and might not cost much more (think no cab ride necessary when looking at overall costs). The other hotels are within a mile (a cheap cab ride). Here's a link to hotels in the area.
Event List: If you are unable to attend, we can offer a full refund (minus $0.30, due to PayPal policies) up to Tuesday, Sept 24, 2013 @ 12:00AM. After that deadline, refunds will only be available if someone can be found to take your spot and pay before end of sign ups at Thursday, Oct 10, 2013 @ 12:00PM. This can either be a friend or someone from our waiting list (if we have one). Send all requests to Events@SoapLA.com.
If the event fills up, we will start a waiting list. You must pay the full event cost to add yourself to the ordered Waiting List. In summary, if room opens up, we'll notify you via email, and you're good to go. If not, you'll get a refund.
If you do not pay, you will not be on the Waiting List. If there is no room for you on the trip/event by end of sign ups (10/10/13 12:00 PM), you will get a full refund within a week after the event date (minus a $0.30 PayPal fee, which is out of our control).
Therefore, you are committing to going on the trip/event by paying, but you have nothing to lose if there is no room! If you would like to remove yourself from the Waiting List after paying, you must send an email to Events@SoapLA.com before 10/10/13 12:00 PM (a few days before the event). Don't wait until the last minute to request a refund! Keep reading for the technicalities...
We will notify you via email if a spot opens up, and we will automatically move you from the Waiting List to the Event List. At this point, you are officially attending the event, since you have already paid. In this case, you are now on the event list and subject the event refund policy: we cannot offer a refund unless there is someone else on the Waiting List to take your place, or if it's before the refund deadline of 9/24/13 12:00 AM.
Thanks for reading the refund policy. Please understand we have to cover ourselves with all the various cases after organizing trips and events for close to a decade.
